POP BISTRO is the brainchild of Chef Yashasvi Modi, and its origin lies in a simple belief she has:
“Good Food Should Feel Personal”
It all started during COVID with a DIY meal-kit for foodies who were looking for restaurant-style food that could be cooked at home.
Her signature flavour profiles were captured in these meal-kits, leading to the creation of the brand, “Pataaka on Your Plate”.
This small experiment quickly built a loyal following and in 2022 was brought to life as The Burrow, an award-winning, casual-upscale European dining restaurant, in the heart of Bandra Kurla Complex, Mumbai.
In a world where the comfort of home is paramount, Chef Yashasvi decided to reimagine her original offering.
That idea turned into POP BISTRO - a name chosen deliberately.
“POP” represents many things - the people, the feeling associated with tasting a favourite flavour, and cheekily enough - it also serves as an abbreviation for Pataaka On your Plate.
“BISTRO” reflects the spirit of the neighbourhood food space which sees people returning often, for good company, great conversation & the greatest comfort - food.
Our goal was to create a brand that could exist in many formats.
The first offering being a direct-to-consumer range of sauces and dips, designed to bring chef-crafted flavours into the everyday kitchen.
Today, POP BISTRO operates across several formats:
